Bottomline has 2 planning software solutions available. The B_ software is our on-premise software that enables you to plan trucks in an automated way today-for-tomorrow. The BX platform is our cloud solution that enables you to plan trucks in an autonomous way in real time.

The B_ software was developed from 2001 onwards in close collaboration with our transport planners. This has resulted in a very feature-rich software suite that can be implemented at most new customers real fast as a plug-and-play solution.

The 3 main apps in the software suite are BS, BE and BC where the main process around scheduling, execution and confirmation takes place. The 3 supporting apps are BP, BT and BI. These apps are more information apps that give insights in order status, trip status and key performance indicators.

Scheduling — generates orders for Vendor Managed Inventory customers and schedules these VMI orders and received CMI orders automatically onto available trucks.

Execution — when the planner signs off on scheduled trips these become visible to truck drivers on handheld devices.

Confirmation — after execution planners can do the reconciliation and review loads, deliveries and gain/losses. After confirmation, the trip data is sent to ERP for invoicing.

Portal — when the customer calls the customer service agent, all relevant logistics information can be found in this portal.

Tracking — real-time management of trip status, current truck inventory and the truck position.

Information — measures and analyses performance of the planners, the trucks and their drivers. Contains all relevant KPI.
